The County of San Luis Obispo has removed the Atascadero Printery building from the forthcoming tax auction on May 14. Here’s what they had to say:
“A non-profit group has formed, Atascadero Printery Foundation, and has expressed interest in restoring the building for public use,” County Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector Jim Erb explained. “Postponing the auction will give this group time to raise money and determine their strategy. I felt it was in the best interest of the County and citizens of Atascadero to pull the property from auction.”
Thank you everyone who has worked to help make this happen! Our journey has only just begun, but with a strong vote of confidence from the county, we are still on our way!
